    Part-time Lecturer (Business Administration)
    Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK)

    Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK) is one of the member institutions of the Vocational Training Council responsible for the provision of in-service training and professional examination services.  More than 200 major companies have utilised its corporate training services.
     
    Subject Area:
    Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons)
       
    Major Duties:
    (a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects at the bachelor's degree level;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration including initial moderation of assessment;
    (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials including syllabus writing and teaching plan;
    (d) To mark students’ work including assignments, proposals, dissertations and tests & examination scripts;
    (e) To deliver the course face to face and carry out relevant tasks, such as monitoring the learning progress of students and providing study advice;
    (f) To attend review meetings to provide recommendations or suggestions on improvement in curriculum, syllabuses, and teaching and assessment methods;
    (g) To carry out various administrative duties;
    (h) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and
    (i) To supervise students’ dissertation*.
    *these duties only apply to the module of Dissertation.
         
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised Master's degree in related discipline and/or equivalent professional qualification;
    (b) At least 4 years’ relevant teaching and / or industry experience;
    (c) Close network with relevant industries and professional bodies;
    (d) Strong presentation skills;
    (e) Good communication skills and the ability to motivate students are definite advantages; and
    (f) Preferably with relevant experience in teaching and/or project supervision.
