Vocational Training Council part-time-evening and DVE programmes open for application
Part-time evening programmes to be offered by the Vocational Training Council (VTC) for academic year 2016/17 are open for application between tomorrow (20 May) and 21 June (Tuesday). Leading to the award of Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies, Certificate of Vocational Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) and other professional qualifications respectively, the market-driven and well-recognised programmes cover professional sectors including engineering, information technology and business administration. Interested parties can apply through the VTC Web-based Admissions System.Catering to Secondary 3 to 5 student demand for vocational and professional education and training (VPET), Youth College, member institution of VTC, provides full-time DVE programmes for which the DVE Interview Day will be held this Saturday (21 May) at Youth College (Kwai Fong). On–site applications are welcomed.
The locally accredited DVE programmes cover three major study areas: Business and Services, Design and Technology and Engineering, and are equivalent to Level Three of the Qualifications Framework. The DVE award is recognised for both employment and further studies. Upon satisfactory completion of a DVE programme, graduates can apply for higher diploma programmes of other member institutions of VTC to obtain a higher academic qualification.
