Following the results of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE) next Wednesday (13 July), the Vocational Training Council (VTC) will hold a week-long Central Admission Scheme on the same day at its campuses for on-the-spot applications by DSE candidates. VTC will offer a wide range of programmes in vocational and professional education and training tailored for DSE candidates in the 2016/17 academic year, including around 140 programmes leading to the award of Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies and Diploma of Vocational Education. Late applications can also be submitted at the VTC Admissions Homepage (www.vtc.edu.hk/admission) now and applicants can join the VTC Central Admission Scheme on the DSE result release day.

Prospective applicants can visit the VTC member institutions, including Tsing Yi campus of Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi), all campuses of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) and the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) to apply for VTC programmes. Applicants will be invited to attend on-site interviews. Successful applicants will be notified of the offer results on the day of the interview. (General entrance requirements are set out in Annex 1).

The ‘conditional offer’ applicants received earlier will be converted to ‘confirmed offers’ if their DSE results meet stipulated requirements. Applicants are required to confirm their acceptance of an offer in person at the offering campus between 10am and 4pm on the results release day.

Students having not yet submitted their applications, without an offer or who have declined offers can visit THEi (Tsing Yi), IVE and HKDI campuses between 13 July and 18 July, bringing along with their result slips of DSE, to join the Central Admission Scheme for VTC programmes.
