Major Duties: |
(a) |
To assist senior management team to take forward the development and promotion of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET); |
(b) |
To oversee and review the operations of the Secretariat to Training Boards, manpower survey exercises, strategic account management, nurturing young talents and promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and strengthening the industry engagements and networks in the Greater Bay Area; |
(c) |
To cultivate and steward relationships with industry partners, philanthropists and VTC alumni to foster collaborations and solicit support for the institutional advancement of VTC and student development; |
(d) |
To promote VTC’s products and services, explore new markets and help develop strategies to meet new demands; |
(e) |
To formulate and implement strategies for networking and maintaining relationships with internal & external stakeholders, including government agencies, community & industry partners and other stakeholders in Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas countries; and |
(f) |
To manage quality assurance system and procedures, governance & compliance, and ensure effective implementation. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree or equivalent, preferably with postgraduate and / or professional qualifications; |
(b) |
Substantial experience at the managerial level in sizeable organisations with administrative experience in the public / education sectors, demonstrable competency in public administration, efficient and effective operation management and strategic planning; |
(c) |
Sensitivity to government regulations and business environment, and ability to initiate and manage change in the workplace; |
(d) |
Proactive and with good people skills, communication and presentation skills, and leadership qualities; |
(e) |
Professional relationship-building and industry networking skills; |
(f) |
Ability to work and liaise closely with government, trade and industry, as well as professional bodies in Hong Kong and the Mainland; |
(g) |
Strong problem-solving skills, dynamic and innovative mindset; |
(h) |
Excellent command of English and Chinese languages (including Putonghua); and |
(i) |
A good understanding of the vision and mission of the VTC, good knowledge of and experience in VPET, and sound experience in executing government projects will be an advantage. |
